I have had a crazy scheduling marathon the last week and I still have ONE last Cedar opening THIS friday Sept 25th in the late afternoon. This is the last opening for any Cedar or St. George sessions this year.

I am coming in October but that weekend is already booked and I wont be making any more business trips until next year for seniors. Thanks!

This session was the claim from Liz winning RUNNER up from the Mommy Models session which was a mini $150 give-away....HOWEVER.... heaven is on my side because Liz had something I wanted so we traded for a full fam session. (i have 2 fun new little projects coming up....but they are a secret)

there were too many that i thought would be perfect blown up wall portraits...

he is SO handsome...seriously he will have to beat the women off of him......

ya know those guys that sit by the freeway and hold signs and either want a ride or money? there was one today i saw and i always give a dollar or so but i had no money this time....so i just watched him and his sign said "please help, need food for retired vet and dog", and after about 10 seconds of holding it he looked right at me and flipped the sign over and it said "will wrestle mother-in-law for money".....and we both lost it laughing.

ps.... i love my mother-in-law.

SO much fun, i cant even stand it! i HIGHLY recommend going to Lagoon with your spouse....WITHOUT children. i cant remember the last time me and my hubs went and did an all day thing without the rugrats and i think it was the most fun i have had in a long time! nothing like cheap thrills....

WICKED was by far my most favorite ride...it was our first and last ride of the day and on the last one we were in the very front and ted (hubbs) videotaped us on it...(yeah i was sure he was going to drop our little powershot but he managed somehow.

my babies.... yes..they both wear the same size diaper even though they are 2 years apart.

i love sundays....me and my girlies.

Baby Krew.

Mom almost didn't make it, so I asked her to share the story...

"I was induced on June 26 because of toxemia. I was 36 weeks along. The doctors assumed I would be having a VERY large baby because I was huge...turns out it was all fluid. They started me that night and I had Krew at 2:40 am on Saturday, June 27. He was perfect, he weighed 4 lb 14 oz and was 17 inches long. They ran a bunch of tests on him because he was so small, they were worried his lungs might not be developed. Everything came back perfectly normal and healthy. The labor was normal, just a little long because my body was not exactly planning on having a baby so soon. Because of the toxemia, I was being given an IV of magnesium sulfate. It is used to prevent seizures that sometimes happen because of very high blood pressure. It makes you feel awful (like you have a horrible flu) and they have to keep you on it for 24 hours after you give birth. So I felt like crap all day long Saturday. By about 3 pm that afternoon I was starting to feel like I
couldn't really breath. The nurses checked my vitals and saw that my oxygen was very low, my blood pressure very high, and my pulse was out of control. They gave me some oxygen to see if it helped. It didn't so they kept increasing it. It still wasn't helping, so by now they started to get worried. They called in the respiratory team to come have a look. They thought I must have a blood clot that had moved into my lungs. They ordered a CT. The CT was busy that night with lots of traumas, and they took priority, so we just waited while I tried to breath and not panic. I was starting to feel very congested in my chest and throat. We finally got in for the CT scan by about 7 pm. I was doing really bad by now and I was just trying to stay alive. The scan came back negative for clots. They took me back to my room and I started to cough up pink stuff, which I know now is a VERY bad thing. When this happened, the nurses called a code blue. More nurses and
doctors showed up, all taking blood and giving me new IV's of stuff. My room was very crowded and it spilled into the hallway, where they were now waiting with a crash cart. My family was trying not to let me see them upset, so I would not get upset. By now, I had completely perplexed all of the doctors. They were not sure what was going on, they new my lungs were full with fluid, so they started treating me for pneumonia. They were not sure how or why it came on so fast, so then they assumed I must have swine flu. This is when they took me down to ICU and put me in isolation. Everyone was wearing masks now. They wouldn't let Krew back in the nursery, because he might have swine flu too. So he stayed up in his room with my mom and mother-in-law, while I went downstairs with my husband. Once in ICU, they put a new breathing mask on me that forced air down my lungs and I started to feel better. We tried to get some sleep. Sometime during the night, a
whole team of doctors came in let us know that they figured out what I had. I had a very rare complication that affects 1 in 25,000 pregnant women called a peripartum cardiomyopathy, which led to congestive heart failure. The warning signs are basically the same as toxemia and late pregnancy. I was retaining tons of water, had high blood pressure, was very tired, and short of breath. Everyone feels like that when they are pregnant, right?! Anyways, I was taken off of the swine flu meds, and started on heart failure meds. They did an echocardiogram to see the extent of the damage on my heart, they took x-rays of my chest daily, and did tons of blood work. I stayed in ICU for three days, then moved to a different floor for 1 more day. The sweet nurses up in mother and baby let my mom and mother-in-law have their own room and just take care of Krew. The nurses brought him down to see me in ICU once I was doing better. I was so HAPPY to finally be able to
see him again. My mom took Krew home before I was able to go home. That was hard, but I knew I was where I needed to be to get better. Each day I showed big signs of improvement and was ready to go home by Wednesday. I was very afraid to go home but also excited to see my boys. I still felt very weak and not able to do anything. My new meds made me feel awful, but my blood pressure was back down in the normal range, and I was able to be weaned off the oxygen. We went home Wednesday afternoon armed with 8 prescriptions and all the knowledge we could get from the hospital about my new condition.

The first couple of weeks home were very hard. I had anxiety problems and cried at least four times a day. I was VERY scared. The doctors don't know if I will get better. My heart was only functioning at 26% and it might not ever get better than that. I have had to change my diet so that my body doesn't retain water at all. I have to weigh myself every morning so that I can see if I am retaining water. I have had to learn to accept help from people and to take it easy. The hardest thing for me has been the unknown. I felt very scared that I had this sweet new baby and I might not be around to see him grow up. Little by little I am feeling better, and I have a new hope. I am starting to believe that I have been given a second chance and I am not going anywhere. It has taken me a long time to stop feeling sorry for myself and thinking "why me?" but I am getting there. I definately have good days and bad days but I have an amazing support system with my
family and friends and they have helped me so much.

My husband has been so awesome through this. He has been so helpful and I could not have done it without him. When I was fading at the hospital and trying to breath, he was right there the whole time holding my hand. There were a few times when I seriously thought it would just be so much easier to stop trying and just give up, but then I would hear his voice, telling me he loved me and to keep breathing. He has been so understanding of my daily breakdowns, and has done so much to make things easier for me. He is the BEST!

My mom has also been so great through all this. She still comes up at least four days a week just to help me do laundry or go to the grocery store. She takes Kam (our 4 year old) for me just so I don't get overwhelmed. She is my best friend and I love her to death :) I am so LUCKY to have her! And I LOVE the pictures you took of her with Krew...she of course cried when she saw them ;)"

ya know what i love most about her? she is SO sweet and had the hardest time being sexy and modely (is that even a word?). Mari (the amazing girl in charge of the pageant and former mommy model) was a life-savor in helping with reflectors, posing, ideas...seriously she is a genius! so so much fun... i love them both!

well...even though she had the hardest time...we ended up forcing it out of her in between the giggles. erika...i hope you win Ms SUU AND Ms Utah! you deserve it!

This really made me laugh so so hard......I almost cried...maybe its my late-night-humor-everything is so so funny-when-I'm tired SELF that comes out at night...

Have you ever had a bad day and SOMEHOW while driving people seem to just make it wonderfully WORSE by cutting you off, honking, giving you the bird, or the hands in the air "what are you DOING" look? WELL that was MY day today! I think I ran 10 errands in which 1/2 of them were in vain (long story)so I spent most of my day driving around. Unfortunetly my left blinker does NOT work right now so driving is a little tricky. People have yelled and honked (even when i was SAFE and changed lanes) and being the california driver i am, i just dished out the sassy-ness right back.

if you know me, you might think i am a nice person until you see me drive. funny thing is, my biggest pet peave is when people drive about 10 miles an hour UNDER the speed limit. i can hardly contain myself at 5 over. (my husband has this problem and thinks i am the world's worst back seat driver)

THAT is why i do not advertise my business on my car....

I LOVE Deana....she is SO easy to be around and is ALWAYS laughing and happy! Plus...I LOVE short black hair...if I could pull off short hair, I would want mine to look exactly like hers!

Hmm, it would have to be Mexican food. I was soooo born into the wrong ethnic group!!!

3. Morning person or night owl?

Night owl all the way, I hate getting up in the morning.

4. How old were you when you had your first kiss?

13. We met in the walnut orchard behind our church one foggy night after service. It was so innocently sweet!

5. Tell us something embarrassing about yourself.

Well, I can't think of anything personally embarrassing but during my wedding ceremony, Danielle, who was 2 at the time, came and stood next to me and started running her hand up and down my leg lifting my dress higher and higher. I don't think the peep show was what people were expecting at our wedding!

6. What are some of your quirky silly fears?

I am afraid of heights. I don't like driving on the outside lane of bridges over water. I hate spiders and bugs that hop because I am afraid they will jump on me when I try to kill them!

7. Hobbies, interests, talents......

I love to read, cook different types of ethnic food, I can sew, sing and I love music.

8. Favorite all time movie......

Not sure if I have one all time favorite. I like movies that make me feel laugh or feel like I learned something.

9. What do you spend most of your time doing every day?

Well, now that it is summer not much but spend time chillin'. During the school year I work full time as a paraeducator in a Special Ed classroom. Then it is the usual, clean, cook, spend time with the fam.

10. If you could have any super hero power what would it be?

Wow, I think I would have a hard time choosing between being able to snap my fingers and make everything I eat instantly good for me and low cal, or just being able to have my house clean and clutter free!

no offense to all those white people out there (which is 90% of my clients since we are in utah), but i LOVE LOVE LOVE to photograph people who are different nationalities. for some reason they take amazing pictures! i love sharon...she is SUCH a babe...totally stylish....and i went crazy in photoshop with her. sharon you are so sweet! love you!!!

1. Do you have any nicknames?

Many! Sharon is one of them. It's my "Christian name." Back home, we get an English name when we were baptised as a baby. I chose mine when I was three though.

2. If the world ended and you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Rice noodle soup that my dad used to cook for me. I learned the recipe on the phone with him one time and I would eat it everyday if I could only get those noodles here in St. George.

3. Morning person or night owl?

Night owl. I tried to sleep early. But it's like I am under a spell or something. I won't be able to fall asleep before midnight.

My stomach growled really loudly one time during the sacrament when everyone was being quiet and reverent. My friend and I both laughed hysterically. I guess that was how people knew where the growling sound was from.

I am always worried of being murdered by some psychotic serial killers. I have watched too much of "Criminal Minds" and I am mildly paranoid all the time.

7. Hobbies, interests, talents......

Room makeover, writing, blogging, watching movies, photography, and shopping.

"I am Sam." Sean Penn is soooooooooooooo great!

9. What do you spend most of your time doing every day?

Trying to find something to do.

Time travel. I am writing a story about my grandmother's life in China. I wanna go back in time and see what she was like when she was young.

nobody pulls off cute glasses like she does.... lacey never got her bridals done back in the day so we split her mommy models into 1/2 normal lacey...and 1/2 "trash the dress in a river" session. i was SO scared since this was the 1st time I ever "shot" someone trashing their wedding dress...haha it was AWESOME!

1. Do you have any nicknames?

- Not Really. Most people call me Lace but that is just out of convienience I think.

- I am deathly afraid of Frogs. like pee my pants afraid. :)

- I love to play sports especially softball, and am now setting my sights on beginning triathlons. I am trying to learn how to play guitar but its not going that well right now... but i have high hopes! :)

- Probably Monty Python & the Holy Grail!!! I absolutely love it or Dude Where's my Car.... or SUPERBAD. I love retarded movies with no point.

- Working for the City of St George in the Races & Special Events division or taking care of my crazy kids... Cohen - 3 & Tallen - 1.

- Probably the ability to learn anything I tried easier. I want to be accomplished in so many things but it takes so much time that if I could just learn it in like 1/2 the time that would be pretty much the most awesome thing ever.

Jamie was one of my last year's mommy models and I was lucky enough to also do her adorable family's pics too....SERIOUSLY she is one of those people that are so photogenic it isn't fair. I hunted her down and made SURE she was doing mommy models this year just because i like taking her picture so much. (and she is so fun to hang with)

James, Jame, nothing cool....there is only so much you can do with the name Jamie (oh and my hubby calls me bunny)

Coffee....I know its not a food but I love it more than most foods, and I LOVE food!!

3. Morning person or night owl?

Night owl, but I am not a bad morning person, once I am up I am peppy and up.

4. How old were you when you had your first kiss?

Sixteen, and boy was it crappy!

5. Tell us something embarrassing about yourself.

It takes a lot to embarrass me, but the last thing I can think of...We were on a date with some friends (three couples), one couple we were close to the other was the first time we were hanging out. Right as we were getting our food Kyle lifted a plate of wings with a bowl (and I mean BOWL) or ranch dressing. Being helpful I reached up to help balance the food above my head, and the ranch tipped and dumped on my head. Now Kyle looks stunned and they say "there is ranch on your head". I thought they were joking, so I reached up yep there was ranch on my head YUCK! It dripped down the back of my head and onto my burgundy turtle neck sweater. It was so gross. And my bf Kale' couldn't even help she just started laughing, hysterically. My husband decided to help by attempting to wipe it which just made it worse. Needless to say we had to walk through a casino to find a restroom, with ranch on my head, and I smelt like dressing the rest of the night.

6. What are some of your quirky silly fears?

This one was really hard for me.....the one thing I really don't want to happen is to become the in-descriptive wife that everyone refers to as "Brian's wife". You know that woman who disappears into the background and is just the wife and mom. I love my family more than life, but I always want to retain some of ME.

7. Hobbies, interests, talents......

Camping, boating, photography (nothing like Emily though, I am SO not that good), just having fun with my girls and hubby, and my favorite thing right now is wake boarding. I am not really talented except I love to sing, I am not the greatest but I LOVE it. I am the girl always singing in the car, no matter the style.

8. Favorite all time movie......

I love movies....action, romantic comedy, everything but horror. I really like dance movies, I know cheesy but I can't dance so I like to watch people do what I can't. Here is a few faves : Shes the Man (so funny plus Chaning Tattum), Italian Job, and Wimbleton (cute guy, funny story, and tennis)

9. What do you spend most of your time doing every day?

Who knows? Cleaning up after my kids and dogs, errands, computer, and play any chance I get.

Invisibility....I know generic, but I have my reasons.

When I first started doing hair in a salon I had a client that had LICE! It was horrible to say the least! I immediately stopped cutting his hair. Because of health reasons we had to ask him to leave so that we could sanitize the work area. At that point I was totally grossed out and sent home so that I could sanitize myself. They told me that I had to put everything in an airtight bag to kill any lice that might have stayed on me. So when I got home I did exactly that... I totally stripped down in the garage! My mom came out to find me standing there stark naked! This all relates to the next question :) It took me a little while to get over that one and not feel like my skin was crawling with bugs!

I'm really afraid of germs! Especially in restraunts! If the place weare eating at doesn't look clean I won't eat there. I also can't sit in corners of booths at restraunts. I know I need some help!

Getting old! I hate that I still feel like I am 18, but that was close to ten years ago! Another "silly" fear I have, is if we ever go camping I always some how get it in my head that when I fall asleep at night a bear is going to come eat me alive! Isn't that nice! Don't ask me why, I've never had a close encounter or anything, I just can't help it! That's probably why we haven't gone camping in a while!

7. Hobbies, interests, talents.....

I love to go shopping! I love decorating my house, I love spending time with my family, boating, traveling, trying new adventures!

Weird, but I really don't have one. Anything that will make me laugh or feel happy.

Now that I’m an adult, the only nickname I go by is Lizzie… but as a child, I went by: Busy Lizzie, Lizard and then my two personal favorites - Lizard Lips, and Lizard Breath.

5. Tell us something embarrassing about yourself.

Oh dear, I could go on and on with this answer... But I'll spare you and just give you my classic embarrassing moment! After a long day at Disneyland, we took the kids to the swimming pool at our hotel. My husband and kids were already in the pool while I was putting things down and getting settled. When I was finally ready to hop in with them, I took off my swimsuit cover up. I didn’t realize at the time however, that along with my cover up, I took with it, my actual SWIMSUIT bottoms!! OOPS! And in the mean time, I happened to moon the entire parking lot that was behind me! I didn’t even realize what I had done until I saw the look of horror on my husband’s face and looked down and saw my swimsuit around my ankles!

6. What are some of your quirky silly fears?

I fear that I’m never going to die. (Sounds weird I know… but hear me out!) I have really healthy genes in my family, and my grandparents have lived well into their late 90’s. One of my Grandpa’s lived to be one week shy of 100 years old. Once I went to my doctor and he told me that in all his years of practice, he has never seen cholesterol levels so low or a blood pressure so healthy. It’s not that I don’t love life… in fact it’s just the opposite! I absolutely LOVE my life! But I just don’t want to be stuck hanging around this life for a really long time if I am lonely, unable to do things I want to do, or if my mind isn’t functioning right. {My husband’s advice is for me to start eating more twinkies!} J

7. Hobbies, interests, talents......

I love exercising, reading on my back porch, coloring in coloring books, going on long walks, writing in my journal, doing things to make other people happy, checking things off my “to-do” lists, going on bike rides with my daughter and gardening.

8. Favorite all time movie......

I don't really have a "favorite" movie... but I do have a favorite "style" of movie. Anything that is a happy, chick-flick, inspiring, happy-ending, silly, light-hearted movie, is the kind of movie I'd like. I'm not into serious dramas, thrillers, scary things or stuff like that.

Training my clients in my home gym, cleaning house, and keeping peace among my kids. :)

Turning one. I LOVE this little guy! Seriously.... he kept running up to me and put his arms out for me to hold him.... I had a hard time sometimes getting his pic because he was running towards me! How many 1 year olds do that????

This little guy lost his father last year in a tragic plane crash when he was only a few months old. I was lucky enough to get pictures of the family right before...Lisa (mom) is one of the strongest most amazing people I have ever met. She moved up here to Kaysville and contacted me for Landon's 1 year old pictures. Getting ran over/hit by a car while cycling, or crashing with other cyclist...anything that would injure me and keep me from doing my mommy duties and staying in shape.

I love cycling (mountain and road) and enjoy competing in cycling, triathlon & running races. Teaching children is something I love and I enjoyed teaching elementary school for several years and now I'm at home "teaching" my daughter. I like to sew when given the chance and I just LOVE pictures. My albums are organize by date clear up through 2008. I enjoy reading books/magazines on parenting, teaching & my athletic interests.

ok first of all.....I am a blogging maniac lately trying to catch up on everything but once I catch up I am TOTALLY taking a mini vacation from the blog. ps....thanks to everyone who comments... it does make it all worth it!

THE MOMMY MODEL LECTURE:

I am a mom. I am NEVER in pictures because I am always the one TAKING pictures. I dont get all dressed up pretty that often for no reason at all, and I feel 10 years older every single day. I am constantly covered in spit up and poop from my girls, and there are times I feel like all I do is clean, babysit, and I would say cook but I really try to cook as little as possible. (hehe)

Does any of this sound familiar? yes it does if you are a mom and maybe mom on the way or even just out of your youthful free careless days. Well, one reason for my mommy models event is that it gives women an excuse to where their favorite shoes....or to go buy NEW ones, to get dressed up and feel pretty and get their pics taken.

These excuses are NOT allowed:

1. I need to lose more weight

2. I'm too old.

3. I dont have time

4. I dont like my picture taken

5. I dont have cute shoes to wear

I do have an awesome number of cedar/st. george models coming up but I do need more utah county girls! I might just start walking up to random women and ask them to model for me. We will see how that goes!

i LOVE mari! She is totally hilarious, out-going, and very thoughtful of other people. She is also gorgous and a total knock-out with 3 kids 3 and under....which if you scroll down you can see her adorable little family. She actually kinda got tricked into mommy models...if you want her story you can ask her in the comment box to see her personal blog.

by the way her answers made my stomach hurt I was laughing so hard!

1. Do you have any nicknames?

My brothers growing up always called me Mardog...not my favorite one. My grandma calls me Mari-Dar, but Mari is a nickname, short for Marijeanne (Mar-zhaun NOT Mary-Jean)

2. If the world ended and you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

hmmmmmm thats difficult. Probably Pizza, can I have milk and ranch with it?

3. Morning person or night owl?

Night owl...you don't want to be around me in the morning.

4. How old were you when you had your first kiss?

Hmmmm thats a hard one. When I was in 7th grade, Nick Brown got dared to kiss me with his tongue down my throat. I was so afraid that was what kissing was that I was NOT in any hurry to try that one again. My first KISS kiss was about two years later, but I hate to touch noses that kissing always posed a challenge. I won't intentionally touch ANYONE'S nose other than my kids, (Noses are creapy, not natural!) so when someone kissed me and I realized their nose touched my face it freaked me out.

5. Tell us something embarrassing about yourself.

Thats also a hard question because I really don't embarress easy, but I do dumb things quite often. Probably one of the worst was the time I went to the gym with my sisters and mother in law. I had a hoody on because it was a blizzard outside. It was early in the morning and all the tread mills were occupied. We walked in, went to the coat rack to take our sweaters off, then walked through the treadmills. I got all the way across the room when I got a weird look from a girl on one of them and I realized that I had taken my shirt off WITH my hoody that was hung up across the room in the rack. I have walked across the room without a shirt. I RAN across the room and frantically tried to cover my boobs while getting my t-shirt untangled from my hoody. People are watching me wondering if I am a little off and people are walking in the front door taking second glances at me while I am WISHING I would just wake up from the nightmare where I go to school (in this case the gym) naked. Of course I am thankful for the fact that I live in utah, otherwise I might have had a few MORE people who would have wondered, "why is she wearing a bra over her silky see-through shirt?"

6. What are some of your korky silly fears?

I have a phobia of sharks and not exagerating will probably have a nightmare about them at LEAST every other night. It started when I was 8 yrs old my brother's sat on me and made me watch Jaws. I didn't take a bath for 6 months. Yes, I was the stinky kid on the block. I still won't swim in the ocean except for somewhere like the caribean where I can see below me and although I logically know there's no sharks in the lake you can't tease me about something swimming near me when we're there. I will cry

7. Hobbies, interests, talents?

I love singing, music in general. It is the my heart for sure.

8. Favorite all time movie...

Thats also hard, it changes. I LOVE the Princess Bride, PS I love you, and the Friends episodes I have on DVD

9. What do you spend most of your time doing every day?

Changing diapers and doing my endless mound of Laundry. Laundry is of the devil!!!! Stupid fat hobit laundry

10. If you could have any super hero power what would it be?

Read peoples minds....oooo oooo and that one power that the guy on "Heroes" has, where he can take on whatever power someone has around him. Except I don't want to have to kill someone to get it like he does...oh and I guess in reality no one has super powers to take, so I guess I'll stick with reading minds.

here is the late afternoon post...... you might recognize this adorable little family from my website. mom is my last year's mommy model winner, the little girl was in my very first lollipop session when i first started, and their family pics with the motorcycle in the road are probably one of my all time favorite family sessions i have ever done...and NOW they have a new little addition to the fam and i got to capture his cuteness.

all i have to say is.......................... OH MY CUTE HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

he loves his binki...and i didn't have the heart to steal it from him too much....but i thought it turned out cute with it in...

this guitar is grandpa's i think.... its pretty sentimental so i'm so glad that kale (mom) requested some pics with austin with it. we tried to lay him on top of it but he really did NOT like that too much haha

cute cute CUTE little family!!! Ok... if i can shoot a family with 3 kids 3 and under i can shoot ANYTHING! we had quite the adventure and no doubt we ended with big ice cream covered smiles. (sigh) and of course i could not have done this session without my helper photog MAE (my old mission companion....i love you girl!!!)
p.s. sorry that my blog is RETARDED and can not center my pictures right... i am still trying to fix that.

this is SO typical when trying to take pictures of little kids...nobody looking even though you are yelling twinkle twinkle little star at the top of your lungs, nose picking, eating rocks...... haha well i have to say that our train track pictures were not very sucessful but we did try!

and there were some quiet grumpy moments....but i thought they were kinda cute

and then we got ice cream and everything in the world all of a sudden got better ;)

i really really really really love her!

Ok..... we managed to move on up to Utah County alive! My only hang up right now is that our internet is NOT up and running so galleries and blogging will have to wait. So sorry about that! It's driving me crazy!

REALLY REALLY REALLY (multiplied by 3) REALLY easy to photograph. All I did was say "ok now do your pretty face....ok now big giggles and smiles.....ok stand over there.... put your chin down...." and that was it.

man....i really really wish we could have somehow gotten in there.... but i decided to keep the law and not trespass for once

we had to wait for the nasty construction workers to leave, they were actually WAITING for her to get out of the car. (silly men) haha funny how such a beautiful white winding staircase was put right in the middle of a rough-looking awesome blue construction sight.

i cant tell you how happy i was that she was willing to go to the nastiest lake with poop water and mud in her pretty dress. she was smiles all the way! you like my blue DI couch chair?

i dont care what the rules are.... i love sun flares in photographs.

i'm the biggest sucker for green eyes, maybe its because my hot husband has green eyes....or because green is probably my favorite color, or maybe i just think they look incredible in pictures..... anyways...........

these were all shot with my sister's brand new Cannon 5D...NOT THE OLD ONE ... the brand spankin' new one with her $1200 24-70mm 2.8 lens. (thanks tam for letting me use it!)i pretty much only use fixed lenses so this was a fun learning experience.

.....for making the new D700 that I have been drueling over....and that hubby recently bought for me.

If you know anything about cameras....feel free to be jealous. (i'm sorry, i just have to brag a little)

-Full FRAME baby!! (sigh)
-ISO that is low noise from 200-6400 (giggle giggle)
-3 inch high def screen on the back (yaow!)
-12.1 megapixels (eh...anything past 10 works for me)
-2 live shooting modes (which i will probably never use haha)
-51 point AF (which puts all other professional SLRs to shame that are within the $3,000 range)
-And lots of new features that i have no clue how to use yet.
-also its beyond SHARP with the right lenses and i will now have a hard time using my D200 which has been INCREDIBLE during my year and a 1/2 of wink biz.

and really quick.....a happy graduation to my hot other 1/2.... I LOVED graduation! I LOVED hearing the prophet Thomas S. Monson speak.... and overall it was pretty fun. I could have kicked myself for not bringing my new D700 and my 200m zoom, but instead my arms were full of a chubby infant. CONGRATS baby!

dont look too close... it's now 2:00am and i didn't feel like photoshopping hailey's marker/dirt face, samantha's baby acene, and well...i dont know if i could have fixed my "i havn't slept in days look". and plus...this was shot with my little PENTAX powershot so nothing to scream about.

I will be graduating next winter....lame..... but I am determined and will not rest until I graduate with my BS.

I WILL NOT POST ON MY BLOG UNTIL LATE TUESDAY NIGHT. I WILL BE SPENDING MY TIME ON MORE IMPORTANT THINGS LIKE PHOTOSHOPPING ALL OF YOUR PICTURES. ;)

My photographer heart is now officially in NEW HARMONY!!! It is in my opinion the worlds photographer's "jack pot" "hot spot" and seriously I wish I could do ALL my photo shoots there. (sigh) Too bad for me I am moving....I will miss having Cedar's corners of cool spots all to myself :(
